Practice Games from the Tour

Jul 01, 2023

Just like going to the gym once is not going to change someone’s body, one practice session will not have much impact on a players chipping or putting, The power is developing a process and what we call in our Academy Daily Disciplines.

One of those disciplines is what we call Par 21. Par 21 is a 9 hole short game circuit whereby players chip and putt from 9 different positions. 21 or better is the goal as that represents a 67% Up and Down percentage which any Tour Player would be satisfied with.

But just like in the gym, if you did the same weights and program every month, there would be diminishing returns as you get stronger. So with the Par 21 game, there are 10 challenge levels and each time you are successful you move up a level, and each time you fail, you move back a level. This ensures that you stay in the ‘Stretch Zone’ – the optimal growth and learning zone.

Level 1 is 9 short game shots within 25 yards of the hole, level 2 is 8 shots within 25 yards, and 1 shot 25 to 50 yards. Once you have completed Level 10 (9 shots from 25 to 50 yards in 21 shots or better), it then reverts to 2 ball Worst ball at level 1!!

We have similar games for Putting which you can download HERE for the next 48 hours – I hope these help you with your game.
